We can deliver anywhere in the UK but obviously the further we go, the greater the charge. To calculate the transport cost we use multimap.co.uk to calculate the mileage from our address to your delivery address and then multiply that figure by £1.20 per mile. This figure for a return journey covers our fuel, wear and tear on the towing vehicle and trailer as well as the time involved loading, unloading, securing the load and the actual driving.
We only seek to cover our costs and provide an extra service with delivery and certainly make no additional money. We think it is a fairer way to charge customers for their own actual delivery rather than a flat fee. It also works out cheaper per hut if we fill our trailer which holds four huts. We try, where possible to combine deliveries to save everyone time and money.
Customers are more than welcome to come and collect any goods. Someone is usually about at all (sensible!) times.
